On Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015, the remains of United States Army Sergeant Robert Dakin of Waltham were escorted from Logan Airport to his final resting place at Mt Feake Cemetery Waltham, where he was laid to rest on Dec. 12. Sergeant Dakin’s remains were found in Korea 65 years after he was killed in action.

In front of the Waltham High school senior class of 2015, Waltham firefighters and police conducted a mock drunk driving crash this week. Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to rescue a simulated victim, and a coroner carried away a victim who died in the crash. The simulation is meant to show, realistically, what happens
