In front of the Waltham High school senior class of 2015, Waltham firefighters and police conducted a mock drunk driving crash this week. Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to rescue a simulated victim, and a coroner carried away a victim who died in the crash. The simulation is meant to show, realistically, what happens

Large rainstorms are never fun for residents whose basements tend to get water, but we are always happy to lend a hand, or a pump, or some hoseline! In the photo above, Waltham Engine 2 pumps a neighborhood resident’s basement, which was affected by the past three days of rain.
